Boat Tour, Aunt Gretchen's House, and the Zoo
I know that this is long over due but better late than never I guess. Sorry, there is a lot of pictures again so, enjoy!
Boat Tour:
For the second half of our trip we drove to Seward to go on a boat tour of Kenai Fjords National Park. My mom takes such awesome wildlife photos that last time I was there she got a neat picture of a humpback whale jumping in front of one of their tour boats and they said that they would trade her some tickets for a tour for the picture. It was so cool and soo much fun. Thanks Mom!!

It was a little cold and cloudy that day but it was actually a perfect day to see lots of animals. The girls did really good and had a lot of fun. Here are just a bunch of fun pictures from that day.

Gracie was trying out her photo skills.

We saw a lot of cool stuff. This is a huge glacier that we drove up to in the boat. We sat there for a while with the boat off so that we could see and hear chunks fall off the glacier. It was really neat.

There were otters of course.

Sea Lions

A ton of seals.

Orcas, which are so fun to watch.

Then on our way back in we saw a ton of Fin Whales, which are the second largest animal in the world. The captain said that they do not see them very much at all. They were all around. You could look in almost any direction and see one spouting. They were seriously huge!

We also saw humpback whales but they were not coming out enough to get a good picture. We saw puffins and lots of other birds as well. We had so much fun.
Aunt Gretchen's House:
The next day we drove to North Pole to see Gretchen, Abby and Josh for a few days.
Ally and Abby were instant buddies. I don't think that I even saw Ally the whole time we were there because she was always to busy play dolls or barbie's with Abby.

Gracie was in heaven because Gretchen has two big orange cats that she loved. Poor things.....I am sure that they are glad that she is gone. She also thought that Josh was the coolest. She chased him around the house constantly.

We went to Pioneer Park one of the days that we were there. We had a picnic in the park first then it was off to the fun.

They had a train that takes you all around the park.

Gracie not smiling, as usual, with Aunt Gretchen.

Aunt Gretchen and Josh on the train.

All four of the wild kids on the train!

My mom bought Gracie this little penguin finger puppet and she played with it constantly. She talked to it and kissed it a lot.

They had a couple of different playgrounds there that the kids (and Crazy Grandma) had fun playing on. This was the coolest teeter totter that I have ever seen.

Zoo:
Then after we left Aunt Gretchen's house we went to the zoo in Anchorage before we had to fly home.
We saw tons of animals but the polar bears are my favorite and they were very playful that day so it was fun to sit and watch them.

Ally had her mini camera and was taking pictures of everything! I think that she may take more pictures that Grandma!!! (That is hard to do...believe me!!!)

Gracie loved these. They were squawking at her and then she would do it back to them. It was so funny. Then all she would talk about all day was them and then she would squawk.

This is her squawking at them.

What a fun experience!
I love the pictures and it looks like you had a great time!! Sorry we did not get to see you while we were in Idaho, time was short and the kids all ended up with bronchitis. I did get a chance to see your beautiful bows and of course ended up buying several!!! You do an amazing job on them!
